After being launched in India in January this year, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has now got a significant price cut of Rs. 5,000. With the price cut applied, the phone will now retail for Rs. 31,900 against its original price of Rs. 36,900. The phone can be purchased via Amazon India. Samsung did not make any official price cut announcement, The retailer doesn’t mention any discount on the original price, it is just the new price that is mentioned, indicating towards a permanent price cut instead of a temporary one.
Even after the price drop, the Galaxy C9 Pro is still an overpriced product as it packs mid-range hardware. The two biggest highlights of the Galaxy C9 Pro are that the device packs a massive 6GB of RAM and a 16MP front facing camera. Rest of the specs are mediocre.
The smartphone comes with a 6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, further resulting in a pixel density of 367 PPI. It has a Super AMOLED display and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass.
At the heart of the phone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chip which is clocked at 1.95GHz. The chipset is accompanied by Adreno 510 GPU for graphics. A 4000 mAh battery was included to provide the phone with power that the display will draw.
