PM Modi Launches Umang App: Apply PAN, Passport, Gas Booking From One App Only

Our honorable PM Modi has taken a major step towards job recruitment for the youngsters, for the sake of the progress of India. On Thursday, PM has launched a unified app to serve common people through mobile devices the app named Umang (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance), the app is constructed and developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to offer services of the central, state government agencies right on Android and iOS-based mobile devices.

PM said that day, “Today, we launched the Umang Mobile App, which will provide over a hundred citizen-centric services. At the back-end, these services will be catered for by many different departments of the Union and State Governments. This integrated approach will add an automatic layer of ‘peer performance pressure’, in the working of these departments”.

The app consists of Digital India services, including Aadhaar, DigiLocker, and PayGov. To let everyone know about government services and its new steps taken by the government via app, web, SMS. You can handle income tax filing, LPG cylinder bookings, and Provident Fund account. You will also be able to know CBSE results. The app covers up 10 major Indian languages including Hindi and English. Umang app supports Aadhaar card and another authenticity such as your phone number and location to keep you updated or to access to all government services.

To enjoy this governmental services, first, you have to register your identity. The first thing you will receive an OTP (one-time password). You’ll also need to choose a couple of security questions to save your account from any kind of unauthorized organization and you have to fill all those options. Once you’ve completed the registration, the app will ask you to set an MPIN (Mobile Personal Identification Number) all you have to do is you to set pin code. You to choose your state after that.

There is a bar in which you can see options like favourites, all services and jobs regarding your state. There is a support option available on the app so that if there is any doubt, you can clear it by asking questions to the experts.
